LaFutura 2011
We all got to know each other in 2010 and decided we want to grow the innovation industry and to build a framework. LaFutura 2011 was about how to achieve this shared goal in concrete steps.
In 2011 New York joined forces with Berlin so LaFutura took place in both locations on the same day. Through live broadcasting, the two cities exchanged brainstorming results, projects, ideas and contacts.
LaFutura 2011 New York & Berlin was an exclusive un-conference, an open space event where participants could propose a topic of discussion that helped achieving the shared goal – to grow the trend and futures industry. Therefore, participants did not lay back listening to keynotes, but instead proactively got involved and created their own poly-social discussion groups.
Amongst the main proposed topics of discussion, both from Berlin and New York, were: creating an innovation college, an innovation association, webinars, client gateway – a marketplace that matches clients’ trend & innovation projects with appropriate agencies and many more.
This format enabled participants from New York and Berlin to merge ideas and work together on common projects of interests and to maintain a constant communication and workflow throughout the year.
